Choose the Ergo E6 if: You live in extreme northern climates (Minnesota, Canada, Montana) and want the fastest possible heat-up time, or privacy is paramount.
Choose the Ergo E6W if: You have a scenic vantage point (mountains, lake, private garden) and wish to watch sunsets or snowstorms while bathing.
If your sauna faces a scenic lake, forest, or mountain range, the E6W is worth every penny of the upgrade. If your barrel sits against a fence or in high-sub-zero winds, the solid-wall E6 provides faster heating and slightly lower electrical operating costs.
During initial heat-up, light condensation may appear on cold glass, but as the ambient sauna air passes 140°F, the glass clears completely.
